Our Methods
Transition Place community employs a therapeutic community model; using individual counseling with certified counselors and group therapy to aid the resident in accepting personal responsiblity and identifying negative behavior patterns. We aid in altering these patterns thought a Holistic approach, to the healing of human beings. Funding is provided by labor exchange. Your attorney, probation officer, or parole officer must refer incarcerated individuals to the program as an alternative to incarceration.
 
The treatment model employed at Transition Place Community has been demonstrated to be highly effective, particularly for individuals who have not found success with programs based on a 12-step approach.
Criminal Justice-Social Re-Entry and New Dawn, Second Chance, Programs are for a minimal of 2 years or more, Court-ordered.
 
Our Goals
To assist residents in returning to a substance abuse free and crime free life. A life where they can again, (maybe for the first time) take their place in the community and live happier, more productive lives. The emphases is on, G.E.D., Job training, Marketable skills development, Computer training, and the ability to thrive in society, substance and crime free.
