The Therapeutic Community (TC) is a highly structured and well supervised program designed to treat the behavioral, emotional and family issues of substance abusers.
- The TC program emphasizes self-help, personal growth and peer support.
- The TC is a world-wide movement, represented by the World Federation of Therapeutic Communities. The are over one thousand TC's in the United States and approximately 25 in California.
- Transition Place is a self-supporting therapeutic community.
- Residential services are provided for a minimum of two years or more.
- Transition Place provides food, shelter and education in a safe environment for ambulatory, mentally competent individuals who are in good health and over the age of 18 years.
- Our services are provided both on an inpatient and out-patient basis. Out-patient programs may be for 20, 60, 90 days or more.
