Shalom! You have arrived at Barbara Christwitz' homepage.

Fifty years old doesn't seem nearly as old now as it did about twenty-five years ago when I attended Dad's 50th birthday party. As I approach my 49th year what are my activities, hopes, dreams, and values?

Riding the waves with my husband, Bill. We've experienced ebbs, flows, and everything in -between in these past 12-plus years

.Teaching and tutoring mostly young adult students who are studying to pass their G.E.D. tests. For some reason teaching math is the most rewarding

.Participation in a newly-founded 12-Step, Step Study Co-dependents Anonymous Group

Alternate worship at the local Quaker(Religious Society of Friends) group and Clearlake Community United Methodist Church

Working with a city planner on a proposal for a new city park in our neighborhood

Helping young people find job opportunities which are educational and legal

Teaching a peace and justice class at Clearlake Community College entitled, "Alternative in Peacemaking"

Using a bicycle as often as is possible for physical fitness, fuel economy, and environmental conservation

Creating a support group/task force with like-minded people who also demand sane noise policies for our neighborhoods

Love's dream plows into the world's dreams. Love sows, Love weeds, Love grows, Love feeds, Love flows, Love re-seeds, Dear God, cultivate in us a pure heart. Anonymous
